(KLZA) A fall cleanup event will take place Sunday in Mound City.
Mound City residents and property owners will be allowed to bring items for disposal to the swimming pool parking lot from 1 – 3 p-m.
Stuart Disposal and Killin Salvage will accept furniture, televisions, trash, appliances, iron, scrap metal and batteries. In addition, the tree dump will be open at the same time for disposal of yard waste.
Mound City residents will be allowed to bring one loaded pickup, trailer or vehicle per household. No items from commercial businesses will be accepted.
Lumber, paint, chemicals and tires will not be accepted. A proof of Mound City residency or property ownership will be required to participate.
