(KAIR) -- Due to the continued drought conditions, the City of Nortonville has issued a stage one water watch.
Mayor Edward Scott is asking residents to curtail outdoor water use and make efficient use of indoor water.
Conservation measures include taking shorter showers, washing full loads of clothes and dishes, limiting outdoor watering and repairing leaky faucets or toilets.
Scott notes the city has specific policies and procedures in place regarding water conservation other than voluntary and that the city is authorized by ordinance to implement the appropriate conservation measure.
