Three people escaped serious injury when a helicopter crashed in Valley Falls Wednesday morning.
Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig describes what happened.

The Sheriff says the three occupants were taken to St. Francis Health Center in Topeka with minor injuries including the pilot, Wayne Spry, of Wakarusa, and the passengers, Jerald Senger and Clint Shoemaker, both of Tonganoxie.
The passengers were employees of Southern Star Natural Gas. The helicopter is owned by Hamburg Aviation of Ottawa.
As of late morning, there was no official word on what caused the crash.
