A Horton couple are recovering after a car-motorcycle accident in Atchison Wednesday afternoon.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson explains how the accident occurred.

Wilson says 55 year-old William Darnell and his wife Kay were then transported immediately from the ambulance to a LifeStar helicopter.
The hospital and condition status of the Darnell’s is currently unknown.
Wilson says the Darnell’s suffered head and neck injuries as well as multiple broken bones.
The driver of the other vehicle, Preston Sharp of Atchison, was not hurt and was wearing his seatbelt.
We will have further details on their condition as we receive them.
