The city of Effingham is looking to replace their aging heat and air unit at city hall.
The city council authorized solicitation for bids to replace their 30 year old system at Wednesday night’s meeting.
The council also appointed Ruth Yoder and Teresa Miller to the library board, replacing term-limited members Carolyn Tolliver and Alice Johnson.
They also approved chip and seal patchwork around the city for this year.
EMC will be the city’s liability and property insurance provider through Hegarty-Caplinger.
They approved the usage of City Park for various churches around the county to hold the “Faith in the Parks” revival on June 23rd.
The event is open to the public.
County Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen also visited the council to update them on county projects.
