Miles Tabbed New Husker Hoops Coach
The University of Nebraska introduced former Colorado State Coach Tim Miles as the Huskers’ new men’s basketball coach Saturday. Miles guided the Rams to a 20-12 record and an NCAA Tournament berth this past season.
During a press conference Saturday afternoon, Miles talked about being named the new Nebraska coach and said the N-U job is a good one. (play audio :09)

He was asked about recruiting. Miles said he’d like to be able to recruit talent nationally to come to Nebraska. (play audio :29)
Miles also said he’d like to keep the homegrown talent close to home. (play audio :59)
Tim Miles is a native of South Dakota. Preious coaching stints include at Mayville State, Southwest Minnesota State, and North Dakota State, in addition to Colorado State. He replaces Doc Sadler, who was fired after leading Nebraska to a 101-89 record in six seasons.
