Valley Falls schools will no longer be part of the Delaware Valley League in sports after the 2012-13 school year.
The USD 338 school board made their official motion to withdraw from the league at Monday night’s meeting.
Superintendent Loren Feldkamp discusses where the school will go from here.

Feldkamp said there may be a possibility that they will not have to be independent after next year and could potentially join other schools that would be leaving the DVL.
In other business, the board also approved the purchase of 40 iPads and carts for 26 thousand dollars.
The funding for the iPads will come from REAP funding.
Feldkamp says they hope to get those in student’s hands immediately.

The board also is looking into several summer projects around the school grounds.
Feldkamp says maintenance director Tom Brown outlined several scenarios varying from painting rooms, replacing heater units, replacing fencing at the high school and installing long jump pits at the high school, seeking bids for a long-term plan for a black top track, and upgrading computer labs.
