Atchison Man Enters Plea To Multiple Charges

 A 20 year old Atchison man pleads on multiple felony burglary and theft charges as part of a plea deal Friday in Atchison County Court.

 Daniel McCullough pled guilty to one count of burglary, one count of theft, as well as one class A misdemeanor interference with a law enforcement officer charge.

 He also pled no contest to a level seven felony theft charge.

 On the charges he pled guilty to, he was arrested by Atchison police on January 4th for breaking into the Atchison Subway restaurant and taking 13 hundred 30 dollars.

 For the interference charge, he led police on a lengthy foot race on his January 4th arrest following the stop of a vehicle he was an occupant in.

 On the no contest charge, he took over 26 thousand dollars of items from his parents’ home in mid-December.

 A charge of an alleged burglary of his parent’s home to take those items was dismissed by the County Attorney.

 McCullough faces 11 to 34 months in prison on the Subway burglary charge and five to 17 months on the theft of the money.

 He faces 11 to 34 months for taking his parents items.

 McCullough is expected to post a PR bond after it was granted Friday by the judge. Sentencing is scheduled for March 19th.
