An Atchison woman will get probation after accepting a plea deal Friday in Atchison County Court.
Megan Reno had a one year jail sentence suspended to a year of supervised probation for knowingly taking and cashing a gift certificate November 29th that was stolen by another individual from the Atchison Chamber of Commerce.
A felony count of forgery was dismissed by County Attorney as part of the plea deal.
Atchison police still continue to investigate the case where the gift certificates were stolen last fall.
They currently have a fugitive warrant out on a person of interest in the case, but are currently withholding the name of that individual.
