Agriculture Comes To The Classroom
02/24/2020

In honor of Kansas Agriculture Month, which begins March 1, the state’s agriculture community is coming together to support a new immersion classroom experience. The goal is to educate students on the importance of agriculture. Grade school classes across the state will be paired with farmers, ranchers, agriculture organizations or professionals who will visit the classroom, eat lunch with students or provide field trips. Students not only will learn about various aspects of agriculture, but also the many careers available within the industry. Those interested in being paired with a classroom can sign up at https://tinyurl.com/rptn4nb. The Kansas Department of Agriculture will pair volunteers with a school, as well as provide activity ideas and general talking points.
