(KNZA)--An Atchison man convicted in a Doniphan County burglary case has been placed on probation.
Travis Sechler was recently sentenced in Doniphan County District Court on a charge of burglary. He was given a suspended 16-month prison sentence and placed on 24-months supervised probation.
Sechler pleaded no contest to the charge last month as part of a plea agreement. In exchange for the plea, a charge of theft was dismissed.
He was charged in connection with the burglary of a garage in April at a residence in Highland. Stolen was a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible.
A Doniphan County Sheriff’s dispatcher observed the stolen vehicle as it was being towed south toward Atchison.
