(KNZA)--The names of two additional candidates will appear on the November general election ballot for positions on the Jackson County Commission.
The Jackson County Clerk’s office says rural Holton resident Edward Lutz has filed by petition as an independent candidate for 2nd District commissioner and rural Dension resident John Coleman has filed by petition as an independent candidate for 3rd District commissioner.
The clerk’s office has determined both petitions are valid.
Lutz is challenging Janet Zwonitzer, of Holton, in her bid for re-election to a second 4-year term as 2nd district commissioner.
Coleman joins incumbent Bill Elmer and Melvin Bailey in seeking the 3rd district commission seat.
