(KAIR)--The investigation is nearly complete.
That's the word from Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig regarding the probe into two cases of illegal entry at the Perry-Lecompton High School last month. “Pretty close,” Herrig tells MSC News. “I think they got a couple more interviews to do this week, and then it will all go over to the County Attorney [for review of the case]”
A group of students allegedly entered the school without permission on November 21st and 28th.
Herrig says authorities believe the first time they entered, the students played basketball while the second entry allegedly involved a minor theft.
They apparently gained entry through an unlocked door.
Investigators have focused on the questioning of around 15 students.
