(KMZA)--The starting salary for the secretary of the Nemaha County Attorney has been set, but not without opposition.
That happened during this week's meeting of the Nemaha County Commission.
Commissioners met behind closed doors, joined by County Attorney Brad Lippert, via telephone, to discuss the issue.
Once the matter was discussed, the Commission returned to regular session ten minutes later.
It was then that Commissioner Dennis Henry made the motion to set the salary for DeeAnn Fangman at $15.28 per hour.
Commisisoner Gary Scoby seconded the motion, which passed despite a no vote from Commisioner Tim Burdiek.
