(MSC News)--A special honor for a longtime Jackson Heights coach, athletic director and physical education teacher.
The Holton Recorder reports the USD 335 Board of Education voted this week to name the recently-renovated Jackson Heights Middle and High School football stadium in honor of Dave Henry.
Henry began work for the district in the 1971-72 school year, the third year of the district’s existence. He served as a physical education instructor, head football coach and athletic director before retiring at the end of the 2006-07 school year.
Henry later came back to work for the district as a groundskeeper and bus driver, with the Board this week’s accepting his resignation from those positions.
