(KAIR)--Distiller of the Year.
That distinction is presented to Atchison-based MGP Ingredients by a prominent publication in the global spirits industry.
Whisky Advocate unveiled MGP as its selection for the honor in a recent online article.
In summarizing MGP's distillery business segment, publication Managing Editor Lew Bryson wrote, in part, “MGP told us more about the experimental whiskeys they were making...it was quite a year.”
MGP President and CEO Gus Griffin, in a news release, says the honor was unexpected, but is great for the company and one which all MGP employees can be very proud.
He says Whisky Advocate's acknowledgment is recognition for MGP's heritage, contributions, and commitment to supporting and building the whiskey industry.
