(KAIR)--Two persons require hospital treatment following a double vehicle crash in Atchison.
According to a report from the Atchison Police Department, it happened Wednesday, on U.S Highway 59 at the Omaha Junction.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says Lancaster resident Brandon Mottin was behind the wheel of a vehicle eastbound on the highway when he attempted to turn, causing a collision with a westbound vehicle, driven by Renee Hanshaw, of Cummings. "The Mottin vehicle is turning north, onto [U.S. Highway] 73, also known as Omaha Junction," Wilson tells MSC News. "He has been cited for failing to yield."
Hanshaw and a passenger, identified as Marcella Ingels, were both transported for hospital treatment.
Mottin was not hurt.
The wreck happened shortly before 6:00 Wednesday evening.
