(KNZA)--A promotion for a Horton Police Officer.
Police Chief John Calhoon, in a press release, states that Officer Jonathan Boller III has now assumed the duties of Sergeant.
Boller, in his new role, will assist Calhoon in the general operation and supervision of the Horton Police Department.
Boller, who joined the department on September 2nd, 2014, previously served with the Holt County, Missouri Sheriff's Office, and graduated from the Missouri Western Police Academy in Saint Joseph.
Calhoon calls Boller a valuable asset to the department, and says the community has provide him with many positive comments regarding Boller's community policing and performance.
Boller currently resides in Saint Joseph with his wife, Carmela, and four children.
They plan to relocated to the Horton area within the next six months.
