(KNZA)--A new Parks and Recreation Commissioner has been chosen to serve on the Horton City Commission.
Appointed to the vacant seat is Lonnie Boller, who formerly sought the post during last year's election.
Boller was selected to serve during a special meeting of the Horton City Commission Friday morning.
He replaces former Commissioner Al Barton, who died earlier this month.
Boller was one of two applicants for the position.
The unexpired term runs through 2018, with the position to come up for election in November 2017.
