(KNZA)--The Netawaka Fire Department has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Home Depot Foundation.
According to a news release, the Netawaka Fire District #6 Board recently received the grant award at the Netawaka Fire Station.
The grant will be used towards the acquisition of rescue tools to better serve the community.
Netawaka volunteer firefighters had expressed interest in expanding their capabilities with additional tools that can be used in response to highway and agricultural incidents in their response area.
