Highland Community College will host a Whitetail Deer Seminar as part of its “Arts at the Barn” cultural series on Tuesday, November 17 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
The seminar will feature Minnesota bow hunter Darwin Arndt who has been the Minnesota State Senior Grand Champion Archer in four different years. Darwin also currently has 10 whitetail deer entered in the Pope and Young Club World Record Book, and he is an official measurer for the Pope and Young Club, the national organization which keeps records of all record deer taken by bow and arrow. He has many other accomplishments which qualify him as an expert archer and instructor.
Darwin’s presentation will cover many characteristics and habits of whitetail deer that may be unfamiliar to many experienced hunters. This information is beneficial to bow hunters, gun hunters, and wildlife photographers who wish to learn more about deer.
The Klinefelter Barn Conference Center is located at 1774 230th St., Hiawatha, KS. Take the Mulberry Rd. exit off US 36 Highway, two miles east of Hiawatha and go east on 230th for 2/3 mile to the farm entrances. Either driveway leads to the Klinefelter Barn.
Admission to the seminar is free. Free will donations to support the “Arts at the Barn” cultural series are greatly appreciated.
The “Arts at the Barn” cultural series is made possible by our event underwriters: Hiawatha Community Hospital, Rainbow Communications, KNZA Radio, Dr. Dennis Myers of Troy,
