(KNZA)--Enrollment is up this school year in Prairie Hills USD 113.
Superintendent Todd Evans reviewed with the Board of Education this week the official headcount taken on September 21st, which he says shows the district’s full-time equivalent enrollment is up 19.3 students.
Evans says the total F-T-E enrollment is 1,105.2, up from 1,085.9 last year.
The Sabetha and Axtell schools saw enrollment gains, while the Wetmore school saw a decrease.
Despite the enrollment increase, the district will not see any additional state aid because of the block grant legislation approved by this year’s Kansas Legislature and signed by Governor Brownback.
