The Governor’s Water Conference will be held Wednesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Hilton Garden Inn & Conference Center in Manhattan, Kan.
The conference topics include:
· Developing additional sources of supply for rural communities
· A Long Term Vision for the Future of Water in Kansas –Implementation
· Helping the general population understand water, have an emotional connection to its value as well as the value of conservation
· Addressing social change to in help increase the Water Vision effectiveness, achieve bottom line results and become more measurably vital

Tristan Surtees and Charles Blanc with Sans façon in Calgary Canada: WATERSHED+ Project Implementation & Development
Day two will build on the water policy and vision implementation discussions from the previous day with technical presentation posters and talks. Graduate and undergraduate students will present their research. Rex Buchanan, Interim Director of the Kansas Geological Survey will be the plenary speaker following lunch.
