(KNZA)--There’s a vacancy on the Troy USD 429 Board of Education.
The vacancy exists due to the resignation of board member Galen Mitchell, which was accepted during a special meeting September 21st.
The six remaining board members will appoint an individual to serve on the board until the next election in November 2017. At that time, the position will be up for election for the remainder of the unexpired term or two years. The person elected will take office in January 2018.
Those interested in filling the position are asked to submit a signed letter of interest to Board Clerk Janel Anderson at the Troy Central Office by November 2nd, with possible discussion at the Board’s November 9th regular meeting.
