(KAIR)--The Atchison Area Ministerial Alliance is hosting an event next week that seeks to honor law enforcement officers and first responders.
The group, in a press release, says the Blessing of the Badges service is being held in order to recognize the demands and risks of the work preformed by law enforcement officers and first responders, as well as the toll it can take on their families.
All law enforcement and first responder agencies as well as agency staff in Atchison city and county, along with their families, are invited to attend. There will be reserved seating for those being honored.
The service will be held Monday evening, starting at 7:00 in the Atchison Middle School auditorium. The event is free, and will be open to the public.
