(KLZA)-- The budget is approved for the 2015-2016 school year.
That happened Monday following the regular meeting of the Johnson-Brock Board of Education.
Prior to approval, a public hearing was held that, according to the minutes of the meeting, drew no comment from patrons of the school district.
Once the two minute hearing drew to a close, the board unanimously approved the General Fund Budget of more than $4.2 million.
Also during the session, it was revealed that the district has accumulated a legal fee pricetag of nearly $4,000. That follows the filing of a complaint with the Nebraska Attorney General regarding the district's handling of open meeting postings, executive sessions, and policy changes. The complaint was filed by Rhonda Clark.
The board reviewed a letter drafted by the school attorney that will be sent on the district's behalf in response to the matter.
