(KNZA)--A Wamego man was killed Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle was struck by a car going the wrong-way on U.S. 24 Highway north of Topeka.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a car driven by 71-year-old Topeka resident Vickye Still was eastbound in the westbound lane when she struck a Honda motorcycle driven by 36-year-old Ryan Scott. Scott’s motorcycle then struck another car.
Scott, who wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Still was transported to Topeka’s Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with unspecified injuries. The driver of the third vehicle wasn’t hurt.
The wreck was reported around 3:30 west of the Goodyear Road.
Services for Scott will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison.
