(KMZA)--The Nemaha County Commission has approved the purchase of two new pickup trucks.
The Commission this week accepted a bid from Nemaha Valley Motors, of Seneca, for the purchase of a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 regular pickup for the Road and Bridge Department for a total cost of $29,150.
County Road and Bridge Supervisor Dennis Ronnebaum told Commissioners he preferred to have a regular cab, long bed pickup for the department. He had obtained bids from two dealerships.
The Commission also approved the purchase of a new pickup truck for the Sheriff’s Department to replace a pickup with over 110,000 miles.
The Commission accepted the low bid from Nemaha Valley Motors in the amount of $13,000 for a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup with the trade-in of a 2011 pickup. It was among two bids received.
