(KLZA)-- A jury trial had just begun in Richardson County District Court when it came to a swift end after a plea agreement was reached. .
45-year-old Bobby Birdsell Jr. of Falls City was facing trial on two felony counts of sexual assault of a child in the third degree.
After the trial had started a plea agreement was reached with Birdsell entering a plea of no contest to an amended, misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a child, with the second count being dismissed.
No information was immediately available on a sentencing date. Bond was continued.
