(KMZA)--A Nemaha County bridge will be replaced.
The County Commission this week accepted a proposal from Columbus, Nebraska-based Husker Steel for the replacement of a bridge on G Road in Nemaha Township.
The current 130-foot long truss bridge will be replaced with a 160-foot long steel beam bridge with concrete deck.
Husker Steel will provided the materials at a cost of just over $311,000, and Norfolk Contracting will provide the labor at a cost of nearly $25,000.
The county will be responsible for the removal of the existing bridge and purchase of the concrete.
A date hasn’t been set yet for project.
