(KLZA)-- The Mound City School Board conducted a budget hearing Wednesday evening. The overall tax rate required from property taxes will be just over $4.17 per $100 of assessed valuation. 62.18-cents will fund capital improvements and the renovation project underway at the school.
Board members approved the Federal Free & Reduced Lunch policy.
Superintendent Ken Eaton reported on the safety security door bids, ceiling and lighting project, HVAC system, elevator and multi-purpose room. The Board also approved Eaton’s recommendation to hire Luke Aston as a custodian.
Registration enrollment was 212 students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade. There are 71 students enrolled at Mound City High School.
