(KAIR)--Nearly seven decades of service comes to an end as a longtime member of the MGP Ingredients Board of Directors steps down.
The Atchison based company has announced that Cloud L. “Bud” Cray has retired from the board. Board Chair Karen Seaberg, who is also Cray's Daughter, says “we are really going to miss him being on the board because he always has wonderful advice, but he said that he felt it was time for him to step down, and since they made him Chairman Emeritus, he will be able to attend all the board meetings when he sees fit. We all value him. This company is his legacy...he feels that the company is in good hands with a good CEO, a good board, a good staff, and feels like he can turn it over now because it is going in the right direction.”
To fill the vacancy, the board has elected David Colo, referred to by Seaberg as a valuable addition to the company. She says that “be brings a multitude of things to the board, obviously experience with ingredients, which is one of two focuses in our business, alcohol and ingredients. So he brings all kinds of experience that way, and we were looking for someone that generally has good supply chain and operations experience, and he has that also, so we are very excited to have someone with that experience on the board.”
Colo brings to the role 30 years of experience in general management, and has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Diamond Food, Inc. since 2013.
