(KNZA)--The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory for the Brown County community of Reserve.
KDHE issued the advisory Monday because of a water main break. Water main breaks reduce water pressure, which may result in a loss of chorine residuals and bacterial contamination. Repairs were to be made to the water main Monday afternoon.
Residents are advised to boil the water they use for drinking and food preparation for one minute prior to the use.
The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
