(KAIR)--The Atchison County Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of several firearms from a residence.
Sheriff Jack Laurie says five guns, including handguns, a rifle, and a shotgun, were removed from the property, located at 6845 Ottawa Road in rural Atchison County. The victim reports that he believes the firearms were taken sometime during the evening hours of August 8th and August 10th.
The total value of the items taken is estimated to be approximately $2,000.
There is no suspect in the case, but the search for leads continues.
