(KNZA)--A local fugitive is located in Oklahoma.
That word from Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse who says Danny Adams was located in Prior, Oklahoma by Sheriff’s Deputies utilizing social media.
The 25-year-old Adams was the focus of an August 1st manhunt when he allegedly fled on foot from a deputy in southeastern Jackson County.
Wanted on a Wyandotte County warrant for burglary, a search was launched, with the Kansas Highway Patrol assisting. Despite the use of K-9s and a helicopter, Adams could not be located in the thickly wooded area authorities say he fled to.
The investigation continued, leading investigators to learn that Adams was en route to Oklahoma.
Through the use of social media, Jackson County deputies were led to a bar in Prior, Oklahoma. Authorities in that location were notified and Adams was found.
Although he allegedly gave the Oklahoma authorities a fake name, he was identified and taken into custody.
He’s currently being held on local charges in Oklahoma.
