(KMZA)--A Seneca woman convicted in connection with the theft of more than $100,000 from a Bern business over a 12 ½ year period has been placed on 36-months supervised probation.
Elizabeth Schraad was sentenced last week in Nemaha County District Court on a charge of felony theft by deception.
She pleaded guilty to the charge in March.
Schraad and her son John, of Sabetha, were arrested in July 2013 following an investigation by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department into the theft from Lortscher Agri Service where the two were formerly employed.
Authorities say the crimes occurred between January 1st, 2001 and July 10th, 2013.
John Schraad, who was accused of taking more than $1,000, was charged with felony theft and entered into a diversion agreement in April.
