(KLZA)--Former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser will present a poetry reading at the Schoolhouse Art Gallery in Brownville on Friday, August 14th. In addition Kooser will be doing a book signing. The event begins at 6 p-m.
The Schoolhouse Art Gallery is located at 427 Main Street in Brownville.
Kooser’s appearance will be part of the Arts Weekend in Brownville.
Other events include live music including jazz, blues and pop.
A two-day watercolor class; at 4 p-m on Saturday there will be a special art presentation by Karl Bodmer and Prince Maximilian on the Missouri River in Nebraska with a look at other exploratory/frontier artists.
Sunday at 4 p-m there will be an art history presentation featuring a short list of relevant watercolorists of the 20th century.
