(KMZA)--Pottawatomie County authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a man who may be impersonating a police officer.
Sheriff Greg Riat said a woman reported to the sheriff’s office that a black 4-door car that looked like it had flashing lights on top of it pulled in behind her early Tuesday morning as she was driving on U.S. 24. The woman believing it was law enforcement stopped her vehicle.
The suspect exited his vehicle and approached the woman. He had her step out of her car and began searching it. The woman was then allowed to leave unharmed.
The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white man between 35 to 40-years-old, 5-foot-6 to 6 foot tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dress pants, a blue polo shirt with a clip-on name tag and tinted sunglasses.
Anyone with information on the incident or information on the suspect vehicle is urged to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s office at 785-457-3353.
