(KNZA)--The proposed 2016 budget for the City of Horton calls for no change in the property tax levy.
The City Commission during a special meeting Thursday morning approved the proposed $4.8 million budget for publication.
It contains an estimated tax rate of 67.74 mills, the same as this year. The mill levy is to generate more than $425,000.
The Commission will consider adoption of the budget following a public hearing at their August 17th meeting.
