(KLZA)-- The former Clerk of the Village of Dawson is facing six felony counts of second degree forgery.
Although a a probable cause affidavit has not been filed, sources tells MSC News the alleged crimes occurred when Jennifer Stutheit served in the role as clerk.
The 32-year-old appeared in Richardson County Court this week on the charges.
Counts one through five allege Stutheit wrongfully procured, or intended to procure, more than $1,000 by use of a written instrument. The sixth charge alleges the amount was between $300 and $1,000. Court documents allege the forgeries took place between October 28th, 2014 and April 8th, 2015.
The case was continued until August 17th for a preliminary hearing.
