(KAIR)--An Atchison man, arrested on two District Court warrants Sunday, is facing additional drug related charges.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says police first located 31-year-old Andrew Banker at a residence in the 900 block of Henry Street Friday morning but he took off on foot as they were detaining him. He says that “while officers were investigating a second subject in the area, Banker took off running. He was apprehended but not taken into custody as he was taken to the hospital for examination and later released. At 11:00 Sunday morning, officers responded to investigate suspicious activity at a residence in the 1500 block of N Street, where they located Andrew Banker. He was taken into custody on a number of charges which included obstructing the legal process involving the Friday incident.”
During his arrest, officers found what appeared to be methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in Banker's possession.
He was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of meth, ,possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia in addition to the previous charges and the two warrants.
