Law Enforcement Memorial Planned in Holt County MO.
( Mound City)-- The intersection of Missouri Highways 111 and 118 in Holt County will be the site of a Law Enforcement Memorial wall.
According to the Mound City News, the wall is scheduled to be built this summer on land donated by Mr. & Mrs. Donald Tubbs to honor local law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Tentative plans are for a dedication ceremony on August 2. The memorial wall will include parking and will have handicap accessible ramps.
Money has been raised to get the project started with additional fund-raisers planned. Anyone wanting to donate to the project may contact Larry Kanpp or Mark Kunkel. Donations will be tax deductible, and can be made out to “Law Enforcement Memorial.”
Checks can be left at the White Rose Restaurant or at Citizens Bank and Trust in Mound City.
