KDOT Approves Bid for Horton Intersection Project

(KNZA)--The Kansas Department of Transportation has approved a bid for an intersection improvement project in the Brown County community of Horton.

KDOT says Leavenworth-based Julius Kaaz Construction Company was awarded the contract for the more than $184,000 project at the intersection of 15th Street and Central Avenue .

The project will make ADA compliant improvements to all four corners, and will be completely state funded.

 A construction start date hasn’t been announced.

Bid letting for the project was held last month in Topeka.
