(KLZA) -- The Falls City FFA Chapter recently attended the state FFA convention in Lincoln. State qualifying teams that competed were Ag Sales: Cody Schawang, Carl Arnold, Derik Eickhoff, and Erik Eickhoff; Creed Speaking: Megan Eickhoff and Syndey Brewer;
Natural Resources: Emily Wilhide, Maygan Ramsey, Megan Vollmer, and Cody Schawang; and Livestock Judging: Lee Huettner, Luke Kirkendall ,Jordy Stoller, and Derik Eickhoff.
Cody Schawang was awarded a state degree during the convention. The state degree is the highest degree and is only given to the top members of FFA. Schawang also received a white ribbon for his work in his competition of Ag Sales.
Erik Eickhoff took home a red ribbon for Ag Sales. The Ag Sales team together earned a white ribbon. Derik Eickhoff received a red ribbon in Senior Livestock Evaluation. Megan Vollmer earned a white ribbon for Natural Resources. The Natural Resource team received a red ribbon. Megan Eickhoff and Syndey Brewer both earned a bronze medal for Creed Speaking.
The FFA chapter would like to thank the community for the support throughout the years.
