(KTNC) -- A Tecumseh man entered not guilty pleas to several charges in two separate cases when he was arraigned in Richardson County District Court this past week.
In one case, Jeremy Kaster pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of theft by unlawful taking, over $1,500. That charge stems from an incident in February when authorities say Kaster stole property, including motors and copper wire, belonging to Kenneth Arnold.
In the other case, Kaster faces charges of burglary, theft by unlawful taking, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and theft by retaining stolen property. Four of the charges are felonies and one is a misdemeanor.
The burglary and theft by unlawful taking charges stem from an incident between April 22 and 24, when Kaster allegedly broke into property on 716 Road near Barada and stole several items belonging to Brandon Duerfeldt.
In both cases, Judge Daniel Bryan ordered Kaster to stand trial on February 12 in Richardson County District Court.
