(KTNC) - A Table Rock man was killed in an accident on a rural Pawnee County road Saturday evening.
Forty-six-year-old Lavon Sharpe was a passenger in a 2000 Chevy pickup driven by his son, 15-year-old Brandon Sharpe of Lincoln.
Pawnee County Sheriff Jayme Reed says Brandon Sharpe was driving the pickup westbound on 718 Trail, approximately four miles north of Table Rock, at 9:35 Saturday evening. The teen lost control of the pickup, which rolled, ejecting both passengers.
Lavon Sharpe was pronounced dead at the scene. Brandon Sharpe was taken to a Lincoln hospital with multiple injuries. The severity of the injuries was not immediately known.
Sheriff Reed says neither Brandon nor Lavon Sharpe was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the accident.
