(KTNC) - A Falls City Elementary School teacher has won a state award.
The Nebraska Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance selected North and South School Physical Education teacher Joe Dunn as the Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the year. The award was presented last week at the association’s fall conference in Lincoln.
Dunn was cited for providing a physical education philosophy that promotes a physically active lifestyle.
The Falls City School Board recognized Dunn’s award during Monday’s meeting.
Dunn thanked the district administration for recognizing the importance of physical education. He also invited School Board members to participate in February’s “Jump Rope for Heart” event.
