(KLZA) -- Richardson County Commissioners met with Kelly Bletscher concerning the county’s health insurance and family coverage offered to employees when they met Tuesday. No action was taken.
Commissioners approved a request from Sheriff Randy Houser to increase the dollar amount for purchase orders to $1,000. The Sheriff also discussed a proposed interlocal agreement with the Village of Shubert.
Emergency Management Agency Director Jim Gerweck met with the Board to discuss the Microwave System. It has been determined it is not going to work at this point due to NETV tower specs not being adequate for what is needed. Other options will be researched.
Gerweck also presented a memorandum of understanding agreement between Richardson County Emergency Management and FEMA concerning the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System. The Board approved entering into the agreement.
In other business Gerweck reviewed the testing procedures currently in place for warning sirens, noting Emergency Management is considering setting an alternate day for testing when there is a conflict.
Commissioners also voted to approve the contract as previously presented with Restoration & Waterproofing Contractors Inc. for the Courthouse Restoration Project.
