(KTNC) - Falls City Elementary School students are collecting donations for the SENCA Food Pantry again this year.
Once a month, different classrooms at North and South Schools will have the chance to donate items to the food pantry. Elementary Guidance Counselor Troy Nelson is organizing the donations as a volunteer activity meant to teach citizenship.
Each class will have the chance to donate three times during the school year.
Kindergarten and third grade students donated items in September, and they’ll also donate in December and March. First and fourth grade students will have the chance in October, January and April. Second and fifth grades will be able to donate items in November, February and May.
Students select items from a list to donate to the food pantry.
