(KAIR)--A Jefferson County man is probably wishing he knew when the beach closed after he was detained over the weekend. 33 year old Justin Price was in the bed of his pickup truck with a 15 year old female who was not related to him in the Perry lake beach parking lot Friday night after it had closed. A seasonal state park officer approached the couple to ask them to leave. When asked for their names, Price gave the officer false names. The officer asked for ID and when questioned on why the name on the drivers license was different, Price informed him that he had lied because the license was suspended.
Price then attempted to enter the vehicle, but the official asked him if he could have a look inside. Price denied the request, saying there were drugs inside he did not want found. Upon investigation, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle.
Price faces several charges including driving while suspended, aggravated endangerment of a child, felony interference with a law enforcement officer, possession of a stimulant, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He remains confined in the Jefferson County jail on a $75,000 bond.
